WW1 ROYAL FLYING CORPS MESSAGE STREAMER

A very good and slightly used WW1 RFC Message Streamer.

WW1 RFC aircrew regularly used these message streamers throughout the war to drop information and coordinates of enemy positions to their troops on the ground. In addition, these streamers were also used by the Flight and Squadron Commanders by attaching them to the their wing struts and sometimes on the tail fin, so that the other pilots could easily identify them in the air.

A good example with correct central pop-button at the top inside of the pouch to secure the weight and message within the canvas pouch square. Measures 54 inches or 137 cms in length.

Note: SE5a aircraft not included !

Code: 50144
